Wildcat Mountain

Ouachita National Forest (AR)

Wildcat Mountain Trail is a series of trail loops, south of the Ouachita Trail off Winona Scenic Drive (FR 132). The trail offers a little bit of everything including steep climbs, rocky creek crossings, grassy stretches with panoramic views, and old (abandoned) logging roads. The

climb to Bobcat Point is rewarded with a great view. Shortest, inner loop is about five miles; outer loops can be combined for almost ten miles. Open to mountain bikers and hikers.

Planning notes:

Watch out for turkey hunters (in season). This is a designated "walk-in turkey hunting area".

Access Notes:

From AR hwy 9, turn west onto FR 132. Trailhead is on left, a couple of miles in, before reaching FR 152 (Lake Sylvia Rd).  Unpaved parking for several cars.
